We are thrilled to be honored for a 3rd year in a row as a Crain’s Best Places to Work!
2020 has been an unexpected and challenging year for all of us, but I am proud to have been able to witness the courage and resilience our teams have shown in the face of this adversity. We’ve learned to pivot in ways we’d never considered and strategize innovative solutions to sustain our thriving culture as well as help our clients.
Here are some of the accomplishments we’re most proud of this year:
Hybrid Collaboration: Going remote was a fairly seamless transition for us. As a tech-forward agency, we were set up and accustomed to working with tools such as Zoom and Slack, among others. Preparing to return to the office, however, has been a longer process taking weeks of consideration to launch and continues to evolve to ensure maximum safety for our employees. It’s no secret that great company cultures are sustained by the connections and friendships built among colleagues, so it was natural for us to need to find safe ways to reignite those bonds. We have seen success with monthly team kickoffs, as well as cross-team social mixers in small groups held outdoors.
Self-Care Days: In order to help combat burnout & encourage employees to take time off, we launched self-care days as additional paid time off to reboot and refresh. This time does not come out of the employee’s regular PTO or Sick Day banks.
Dedication to our Community: This year also made us question our personal values and decide the part that these play into who we are and who we want to be. In addition to taking our CUNY mentorship program remote so that we could continue the initiative, we also launched Meals for Frontline Families where we sent meals from local restaurants to our family members on the front lines and their units. We were also able to partner with nonprofits like Frontline Foods and Catalyst through fundraising and pro bono campaigns.
While 2020 hasn’t been ideal, our teams continue to surprise us every day with their resilience and passionate commitment to excellence, collaboration, and community. Congratulations!
