While writing this Silicon Beach series in the past few months, we’ve seen tremendous growth in popularity and a significant increase of news features of Silicon Beach. Los Angeles is now known as the third-most-prominent location for startups in the U.S. with San Francisco being the first and New York as second. CEOs are realizing that they don’t need to raise as much money during funding to establish themselves in the Los Angeles area compared to the other two leading locations, so there has been an upscale of well-known companies in the Silicon Beach area.
We’re back with our second edition to our Silicon Beach Series, highlighting the latest updates from the sunny tech hub of Santa Monica. But, that’s exactly what we’d like to talk about today- the expansion of Silicon Beach out of Santa Monica and into the surrounding areas. Santa Monica has been home to many brands that have shown tremendous success in the last few years but due to its limited square footage, brands are taking the initiative and expanding Silicon Beach into the nearby areas of Santa Monica.
Los Angeles is known for its great weather, celebrities and luxurious lifestyle while San Francisco, and more specifically Silicon Valley, stands as the epicenter of technology-based companies. But many tech companies, both start-ups and enterprise level, have made homes for themselves in parts of LA such as Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Marina del Ray. Our latest Silicon Beach series will provide monthly highlights and news from the sunny tech hub.
