Shawn Collins and Missy Ward announced late Thursday July 23rd that they will be holding a silent auction to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City at Affiliate Summit East. We are excited to take part in supporting this great cause!
The proceeds from the auction, which is scheduled to be held during the Meet Market on Sunday, August 9th, from 12:00pm-6:00pm, will go directly to supporting this worthy cause. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on all items that are donated. At this time, Affiliate Summit organizers are collecting donations. Join Direct Agents in supporting this charity. We have already donated a 4 hour recording session at a NYC record studio, Sweet Sounds NYC. The item includes the session, a professional who will get the record to a professional standard and a CD of the recording.
For those who are not familiar with Big Brothers Big Sisters, it is a national organization with a mission to provide mentors to children who need but for one reason or another lack a compassionate, concerned adult role model. The fundamental principle behind the cause is to allow each and every child, teenager and young adult to have the guidance of a friendly mentor who can help “expand their horizons, realize their potential and enrich their futures-changing their lives.” Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City (BBBS NYC) has been recognized and respected as a long-standing—105-year-old—program. Beyond the basic mentor-child pairing, BBBS NYC seeks to “train community organizations in every neighborhood, empowering them to establish their own mentoring programs.”
