Growing Your Facebook Likes

Facebook is a great social networking site to promote your business and interact with your customers.  One of the most frequently asked questions our clients turn to us for help with is growing the number of people who “Like” their Facebook page.

An often overlooked method of growing your fan base is to target the friends of your fans.  This targeting option is specific to Facebook since this method really leverages the power of a social network and can have a sizable impact on your results.

The average Facebook user has 130 friends.  If you have 1,000 current users who “like” your Facebook page, then you have the ability to target 130,000 of their friends (1000×130).  If you can convert just .77% of their friends, then you have a whole new 1,000 fans and their 130,000 friends which your campaign can target – It just keeps growing!  It’s therefore a great method to utilize that we’ve seen deliver extremely effective results.

One area that this method works especially well for is a business that caters to social dynamics such as an entertainment product, brand or business.  Friends of fans of these businesses usually have similar interests to the actual fan of your page.  Therefore when you are trying to reach them, they would likely be interested in your fan page since their friend is already interested and a fan.

Let me know how this method worked for you and don’t forget to LIKE Direct Agents on Facebook!
