Affiliate Summit, the premier affiliate marketing conference, a whirlwind three days of sessions, exhibitor booths, after-parties, networking events, clinics, business luncheons and dinners, blogging, tweeting, keynote speeches, a meet market, a tweet-up, karaoke (for better or worse), a triathlon, and so many affiliates, agencies, merchants, and networks to meet.
Affiliate Summit East marked the largest Affiliate Summit conference to date, with a record number of over 3,000 attendees. The conference began Sunday, August 9th with sessions, booth setup, and a 6 hour Meet Market where Direct Agents got to network with other agencies and networks, as well as affiliates and merchants.
Day 2 held lots more excitement as the expo hall officially opened on Monday morning. At 10:00am the exhibit hall which had to overflow unto two floors, welcomed conference attendees to visit booths from a variety of agencies, networks, and merchants. Direct Agents staff welcomed visitors to our booth, #1302, and got to visit with well established clients and meet and answer questions from new comers. Later that day, our employees were entertained at a slew of different networking parties, were we again had the opportunity to meet other industry professionals.
Day 3 started slowly, as everyone seemed to be feeling a little tired. But Peter Shankman, founder & CEO of The Geek Factory and HARO—Help A Reporter Out—got the crowd awake and laughing with his Keynote address. The Exhibit hall was again packed with the best of the industry, milling around the booths and getting to know one another. Direct Agents was glad to see many familiar and many new faces.
